		<description>I have used beer successfully , but usually peas aren&#039;t the plants that slugs go for.  They much prefer lettuce, and strawberries. Little cups of beer is good.  Last year, near my strawberry patch I had lots of pine needles and that seemed to deter them, they don&#039;t like to get their soft bodies in too rough material. Diatomous earth, which is very granular is also supposed to work good.</description>
